Service with a smile! Warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The food was great. Portions were large, except I expected more fish on my fried catfish plate. Highly recommend!!

It was so good, I went back a second day. The catfish was excellent. I hate collard greens but I like these ones. The mac & cheese is mac & cheese and it's pretty good. The chicken was really good. You're not gonna lose weight at this place. The portions are big and the prices are very reasonable, the only downside is that it's only open for lunch. I went back the next day and got a plate full of ribs and they were excellent.

Catty Car Cornet has never disappointed me. I always look forward to their Meatloaf abd Gravy with a side of Mashed Potatoes and Mustard Greens on Tuesdays! The staff is always very friendly and cafeteria-style efficient. For a relatively small place, there is ample room and plenty of tables with a bright open atmosphere and a great view of busy Poydras Street. Within close walking distance to the Superdome.

Very nice breakfast spot that I walked to from the Hyatt where I was staying at quicker more efficient service.. I had eggs, bacon, grits, and a fresh toasted muffin. It was all very good, but not great. But the value was excellent for downtown New Orleans.

I like this! Catty Car Corner is not a totally New Orleans experience, but it does attempt to bring the flavor and feeling of the Crescent City into this cafe on the street level of a skyscraper in the Central Business District. It's for nearby office workers, it's likely closed when the nearby Superdome is in use. The menu is written on several signs in the kitchen area. I saw some pots with Southern food: beans, cooked veggies, probably some gumbo. But nothing on the menu indicated how this could be ordered, or what the price was. All three of us had sandwiches, chips, and Coke, and I also grabbed the Tony Chacherie's and put it on my club sandwich. Not totally local for us tourists from Texas, but with the heavy rain and a one-block walk that was mostly covered, it still worked well. And these sammies were goooooood. The girl wished she would have gotten something besides a ham & cheese, but she still liked it a lot. My club was filling, so was the Hunny's turkey. Two big men walked by when they were finished, and she thought she overheard them talking about football-related topics; maybe they were from the Saints? Overall, the place was half full, people enjoying themselves, loving the food. This being New Orleans, parking is terrible. And Catty Car Corner, and this part of Polydras, are not for tourists and it's a long walk from the French Quarter. But it's still a winner. It's easy to find really good food in the Big Easy, and this is one of those spots, so don't worry that you didn't get to eat at the Napoleon House or other famous places. You can come here instead.

$14.93. Meatloaf, Mac n cheese shells, marshmallow sweet potatoes aaaaaaannnnndddddd a Diet Coke. This place has it all....it's cafeteria style but also has salads and sandwiches made to order. The bfast hours are 7-10am. It's a quick 3 minute walk from the Hyatt, so if u need a fast meal, stop on in! It's nothing fancy inside, but who needs swanky when the food is this good! I'll definitely be back.

To say I visit this place often is an understatement. I work near by so I'm always there. Whether it's for a cup of coffee in the morning, breakfast, lunch or something sweet you can find it at Catty's Corner. Do not let the lines discourage you, they move super fast. It's cafeteria style food but it's always tasty. Great place to go if you're in the CBD area. Prices are reasonable and food is great, what's not to love?! Also, the owners are very nice and personable.
